"The Pickled Surfer is a mellow cocktail based on a pickleback - a surprising combination of whiskey, pickle juice and lime that goes down easy."
This recipe was inspired by a restaurant called Ditch Plains - the restaurant is now closed, but the recipe lives on.
Recommended glassware: Highball glass
The Pickled Surfer
Ingredients:
5 fluid ounces (about 2/3 cup) blended Irish whiskey
3 fluid ounces (6 tablespoons) bread and butter pickle juice
1 1/2 fluid ounces (3 tablespoons) freshly squeezed lime juice
Garnish with bread and butter pickles and a lime wedge
Rim with The Big Dill Pickle Infused Salt
Directions:
Rim a glass by swirling a lime wedge around the top of your glass or bottle, then spin the rim in a bowl or plate of The Big Dill Pickle Infused Salt Rimmer.
Stir the whiskey, pickle juice, and lime juice together in a pint glass
Fill 2 6-ounce rimmed highball glasses with ice.
Pour the cocktail into the prepared glasses.
For each drink, stab a lime wedge and a few pickle slices on a cocktail toothpick.
Serve it up and enjoy it!
