"The key to this margarita is the fresh peach puree - using in season peaches"
There are many variations of a peach margarita. We perfer this recipe that utilizes in season fresh peaches (and of course we are partial to Georgia peaches). By making your own puree you can easily turn this into a frozen peach margarita by blending the ingredients together.
Recommended glassware: Rocks or margarita glass
Peach Margarita
Ingredients:
1/3 cup fresh peach puree (*see instructions below*)
2 ounces silver tequila
1.5 ounces lime juice
1 ounce Triple Sec (or freshly-squeeze orange juice to make it lighter)
1 Tablespoon agave or honey
Peach slices for garnish
Rim with Georgia Peach
Directions:
Rim a glass by swirling a slice of peach (or honey) around the top of your glass, then spin the rim in a bowl or plate of Georgia Peach.
To make fresh peach puree, simply peel and pit a fresh peach and puree it in a blender until smooth. 1 medium peach = approximately 1/2 cup puree (but measure to be sure).
Add all ingredients together in a shaker. Shake for 15 seconds until combined.
Pour over a rimmed glass filled with ice.
Garnish with fresh peach slice.
Serve it up and enjoy it!
