The Kentucky Mule substitutes bourbon for vodka, hence the “Kentucky” moniker. The weightier profile of bourbon cuts through the ginger more noticably than vodka, resulting in a more flavorful drink than the original.
For the best results, use a high-quality ginger beer with a spicier flavor profile that can better stand up to the whiskey.

Ingredients

2 ounces (¼ cup) bourbon

½ ounce (1 tablespoon) fresh lime juice

4 ounces (½ cup) ginger beer

Rim with Ginger Lime Infused Sugar

For the garnish: lime wheel or wedge, fresh mint (if desired)
Directions
Rim your glass by swirling a slice of lime wedge glass then spin the rim of your glass in your Ginger Lime Infused Sugar.
Pour the bourbon, lime juice, and ginger beer into your rimmed copper mug.
Add ice and garnish with a lime slice. Serve and enjoy!
